Natasha walked into the classroom nervously, slipping into a seat in the back. Transfiguration..not her strong point. Listening to the teahcer speak, Natasha grew only that much more nervous about this. And he wasn't exactly a nice person from what she could tell.
Making sure that her Latin dictionary wa sin her bag, she pulled it out and left it on her desk, istting there, looking useless. It didn't matter.
As the glass soared and landed on her desk, Natasha tried not show her nervousness. It would only make things worse for her. "This'll be hard," she said softly under her breath. She brushed away her blond-died hair and pulled out her wand, aiming it at the glass.
"Res rei vas ver-" she started, but she was cut off by the sound of an explosion. Looking over, she saw a Ravenclaw girl trip over her bag and then quickly cast a spell that made her glass fly back together. feeling sorry for the girl but knowing hse shouldn't move, Natasha inhaled sharply and turned back to her glass.
"Res rei vas verto dee amond archa," she said softly, concentrating on transfiguring herglass. The glass glowed a bit before tipping over and rolling around on her desk. Natasha blushed and grabbed it, setting it upright again. Hopefully the profssor hadn't noticed. She inhaled again and got ready to re-try the spell. SHe knew that she most likely hadn't put enough emotion into it.

He couldn't help but grin a little as the professor had wrote the spell on the board, at least now he could remember it and say it the right way. He then heard a voice coming not far from him and he saw it was Katara who was standing up against the professor because the professor had said something about him not being able to do it and he couldn't help but smile a little.
He turned to her and gave her a thumbs up before he turned his attention back to his glass when he heard Izzie not too far from him being enthousiastic because her glass was glowing just like the professor's had done. But then it went wrong, her glass exploded and he saw some glass pieces flying into his direction, so he grabbed his latin book and protected his face with it as some of the pieces hit the book.
He lowered the book and looked at it as he saw three sharp pieces who were stuck into it and he wanted to pull them out but then they flew out by Izzie's spell. He looked at Izzie smiling and said to her quietly "I think I found a purpose for this book" as he wanted to make sure that she didn't feel guilty about it, she was just trying.
"Okay"Yoni said as he put his book back on the table and looked at his glass "Lets try again". He flicked his wand and said "Res rei vas verto dee amond archa!" more confident now. He looked at his glass and it was shaped into a box allready but was still in glass. "Okay"he said "Atleast I'm getting closer".

BOOM!
Takai already had a shield up around himself and all off the other students. It WAS his job to protect them, even if he hated their GUTS. "Oh," Takai said, spotting the source. He released the shield and stared at Izzie who obviously had OVER-felt her spell... Well if she messed up the first time, she's probably going to mess up the second time... Takai sighed and decided that he would give her a break.
"Third times, a charm!"
Takai spun around. He inspected the box with his well trained eyes. "Well done Isabella!" He said, actually happy but now showing it, "Five points to Ravenclaw!" Takai made a note of it in his book.
"Their was no need to be rude about it."
Takai glared at Katara Yang. The short girl who obviously had an attitude problem. "It seems that Miss Katara Yang has a crush on you Mr. Reno... And next time you talk to me like that," Takai said, deadly calm as he usually was, "You WILL get a detention. Ten points from Ravenclaw..." Takai crossed out "+5" from his book and wrote "-5" instead.
Takai rolled his eyes as Ms. Yang failed her first attempt. He wouldn't say anything. She WAS a first year. She was expected to lag behind a little. But then he spotted Natasha Kittlerain who messed up hers. "Good try Natasha," He said, turning away, "But use more feeling next time... But not TOO much, like Isabella over here." He shot the smallest of smiles to Isabella and Natasha.
"I think I found a purpose for this book,"
Takai shot a glance at Yoni. "No," He said staring Yoni down, "The purpose for that book is for to learn Transfiguration! Not using it as a shield. Maybe if you were competent enough, you would have used a charm, or used a transfiguration spell to turn the book into a wall!
"Please try harder and STOP GOOFING OFF... How many times do I have to say that DETENTION. WILL. BE. GIVEN?"

The professor had noticed. Great. Looking up form the glass, she listened as he spoke. 'Good try Natasha...But use more feeling next time... But not TOO much, like Isabella over here.' Well, at least he hadn't gotten mad. That was good. At least, she thought so.
And she'd been right, there hadn't been enough emotion. Typical. NA emotional girl who didn't put enough emotion into her seplls...because that made so much sense to people. "Whatever, Natasha. Just do the spell, for pete's sake!" Take a sharp intake of breath yet again, Natasha aimed her wand at the glass once more. "Concentrate! And put some feeling into it, remember that. C'mon, you can do this!"
Her thoughts were running wild at this point, encouraging her to do the spell again. She closed her eyes for a few seconds, took in a deep breath, and opened her eyes. Holding her wand firmly, she stared at the glass. "Res rei vas verto dee amond archa!" she said, concentrating on the spell again-but this time putting more emotion into it. She flicked her wand upon saying the spell, and her glass glowed once again.
Inhaling deeply, Natasha closed her eyes, wondering what would happen. Had she successfully transfigured the glass? She opened her eyes again and stared, blinking rapidly. She had transfigured the glass, but her jewelry box was small in size-about three fourths of the size the professor's box had been. She wondered if it was still acceptable. "At least it worked," she said softly.

"It seems that Miss Katara Yang has a crush on you Mr. Reno... And next time you talk to me like that, you WILL get a detention. Ten points from Ravenclaw..."
Smiling to herself, Katara blinked at her not so great of a box, and decided to try again. For if at first you don't succeed, try and try again. "Understood, Professor." Katara said, her voice barely above a whisper. Inhaling a breath before redoing her spell, Katara caught Yoni give her a thumbs up, and in return, she smiled and mouthed, You're welcome. Then, her attention returned back onto her badly shaped box. "Res rei vas verto dee amond archa!" With much patience, Katara watched as the box started forming into the right shape. Well, second time lucky. Proud of her accomplishment, the young girl hid a small grin. Finally! "No, The purpose for that book is for to learn Transfiguration! Not using it as a shield. Maybe if you were competent enough, you would have used a charm, or used a transfiguration spell to turn the book into a wall!" As this was said, Katara tried to hold back her laughter. Yoni using a book as a shield did actually amuse her, but then again, their were no surprises there. A book as a shield! What next? Strangely enough, the Professor's reaction made her want to laugh the most - it was priceless. Protect yourselves from the wrath of Professor Kajikame![/ul]

Jynx sat in the back, brooding as per usual in a black hoodie. Her satin and lace skirt reaching her knees and dangling off the edge of her seat. She sat as far away from everyone else as possible, she prayed no one would talk to her and ignore as usual. She didn't want to have to deal with anyone today, she wasn't exactly in the brightest of moods, though then again, when was she.
"Dictionary pictionary," she muttered under her breath.
Of course she had her dictionary but she thought it was lame. Why not teach the spells in languages people actually knew. It was the 21st century afterall, Jynx figured it was time modern times caught up with some of the more ancient practices. Reluctantly she pulled it out, fumbling through its pages and not really even wanting to try. Maybe if she blew something up she'd have to go to the Hospital Wing and be done with it.
She put the dictionary onto her desk and stood up. She shoved her pale hands into her front pockets, hood still up, as she shuffled her feet to retrieve one of the glasses. After obtaining one, she scuttled back to her place all the way in the back and proceeded to sit down. She took her wand out and prepared to have a go at it, albeit quite reluctantly.

Neville walks into the class room late. He sits down into his seat and grabbed his book from his bag. He opened his Transfiguration Book to the page they where on and started reading. He looked up every time when the professor yelled at one of his students. When He was done reading he looked up towards the teacher, watching him mumble about something like someone is idiotic but he never heard who it was. Neville looked at the other Gryffindor, Yoni, who was messing up, and Neville snickered.
He went back into his bag to behold, another bag! He then scribbled on his note that said 'Rare American Griffin Feathers.' He wrote on the other side, 'Here you go Professor, Sincerely Neville Longbottom.' he then placed the note onto the small bag that contained the feathers.
