Jesse was walking outside again. He preferred it out there, in the castle there were too much students making noise, there wasn't one small chamber in whole oh Hogwarts where it was quiet like it was out here. So, Jesse came here alot, walking over the lawns, strolling around the black lake, but then there was something that caught his attention. The dark forest at the end of the oh so green lawns.
The Forbidden Forest.
Jesse knew it was forbidden to enter it without a teacher or without permission from one, hence its name. But he still was curious about what really lived in the forest. Oh sure, he had heard stories about werewolves, vampires, centaurs, unicorns and much more, but all this Magic was still rather knew to him and a lot of those creatures he had never seen before, so it was only natural that he was curious right.
He headed towards it, his hands in his pockets and his green/silver tie loose around his neck. Jesse's blue eyes stared into the dark forest from under his blond hair as he got closer. But at the edge he stopped, the edge was clearly marked, it was where the green grass went over into black/brown dirt. He stared inside, through the trees hoping to catch a glimpse of some sort of creature, but he saw nothing inside, nothing but shadows and darkness.

Ethel wandered through the forest and found a dry grassy patch and a huge oak tree to lean against. She was supposed to be evicting badly-behaved students, but the prospect didin't thrill her. Hot August sunshine filtered through the trees and dancing shadows scattered across the path in front of her. It looked spectacularly unforbidding.
She began to saunter down the paths, listening to the breeze rustling through the trees. A footstep interrupted her thoughts, and she whirled around, wand at the ready. Silently, she slipped between the trees, glad for the soft leather shoes she had settled on for the afternoon. No one seemed to be around... Ethel rounded the last corner of the path, and found a Slytherin. He didn't look too threatening. He wasn't even in the forest yet.
"Are you sneaking into the forest? I ought to stop you..." Ethel attempted to dole out a reprimand, but couldn't be bothered. "Walk?" she smiled, gesturing to the forest.

"Are you sneaking into the forest? I ought to stop you..."
Jesse looked up when he heard a voice coming from out the forest, hoping it to be a vampire or something else that could talk, he turned around and saw that it was a teacher. Miss Mitchell to be precise, the Herbology professor. "I'm not in the forest, am I?" He asked her a little annoyed. Jesse couldn't help it, he and teachers never got along, well atleast that was the case in the muggleworld, but he figured that around here it wouldn't be any different. They always told him he had a lack to certain authorities.
"Walk?"
But when he heard her say that, his blue eyes looked up suprised to her. A small smile came on his face, maybe teachers around here weren't that bad after all. He simply nodded and took a few steps into the forest so he was standing not far from her. Jesse looked around and he had noticed the moment he had entered the forest, everything had gone darker.

"you'll get used to the light" Ethel grinned slightly. "try not to get me fired, eh? I'm not really supposed to be encouraging you." She pulled off her cloak to reveal slimline robes, and prodded her cloak with her wand, it flew through the air and landed neatly on a branch. "I'll come back for that later. I don't recognise you from any classes, what did you enroll for? I'm Ethel out of school hours, by the way." She smiled slightly. He looked like he was the sort of person who knew how to get into trouble. This could have been a bad decision...

"try not to get me fired, eh? I'm not really supposed to be encouraging you."
Jesse looked at the professor again, she seemed like someone who would understand how Students felt, after all she looked rather young in comparison with some of the other teachers he had before. So he guessed being friendly and trying to stay out of trouble couldn't hurt around her "Don't worry, I won't get you fired".
"I'll come back for that later. I don't recognise you from any classes, what did you enroll for? I'm Ethel out of school hours, by the way."
Watching how she pulled off her cloak and letting it land on a branch, he turned back to her unsure why she had done that. "A few classes" Jesse started to say "But not herbology, I suck at that". Well, maybe not really true, he just never got interested into plants and all that so he had decided not to take that class yet.
"And I'm Jesse, Jesse Miles" Jesse said as she had introduced herself as well.

Slightly reassured, Ethel led the way deeper into the forest.
"It'll be cooler in here, and there's loads of really nice stuff. I'll make you suck less at herbology..." She giggled shyly. "I'ts not all that bad, we were poisoning rats last lesson."
Why was she doing this? The boy could duel her, kill her. She wasn't all that good at duelling. the best she would be able to do would be to summon her broom, and try to escape. Etehl didn't usually trust students, especially if they were taller than her. Being a waif-like 5'6" suddenly felt less appealing.
Forcing herself to relax, she led the way down a narrow path which suddenly panned out into a hidden clearing. assorted daisies and wild flowers added a bit of colour, and a fallen tree provided a seat. It was where she usually ended up when she couldn't be bothered to search for missing students.

"I'ts not all that bad, we were poisoning rats last lesson."
Jesse wasn't sure, okay the poisoning rats thing did sound fun, especially during class, but he wasn't really looking forward to make stupid sketches of stupid plants who just stood there and did nothing but grow and take up sunlight. "I'll think about it" He answered looking at her again, she was smaller then him and Jesse wasn't used to that.
Jesse continued to follow her as they walked through the forest. So far he hadn't seen anything really interesting in here and to be honest he had been expecting more. But atleast he wouldn't get lost or anything, it seemed like Miss Mitchell knew her way around this place. After a while they came at a small open spot, flower around it and a fallen tree in the middle. It seemed like a good place to rest or just hang out, maybe he should remember the way towards this place.
"Miss Mitchell?" Jesse suddenly asked as he looked at her. "Why is this forest called the Forbidden Forest, I mean we've been walking through it for a little while already and so far I haven't seen anything but trees, dirt and flowers. Nothing that could actually harm people". His blue eyes looked at her as he waited for an answer.
