No one told me the air would be so… Dirty! Brad coughed whilst crossing a busy New York street during summer. Yes, it was finally summer! No school, no homework, no annoying little kids; It was the life. Oh, who am I kidding? I’m so bored… Brad was visiting his sister who lived in Manhattan. She was all lovey-dovey with her boyfriend, so Brad tried to get out of the house as much as possible. It probably would have been better if he new about the Magical World of New York, but sadly, he didn’t. So he was stuck mingling with muggles…
It was the middle of July and it was smoking hot. Brad pulled down the neck of his shirt a bit, trying desperately to let some air in. The sun was beginning to set and there was purple-yellow color in the sky. At least, that was what Brad thought it was (the haze was covering the sky). Brad coughed once more and looked up. At that moment, he stepped in deep puddle that wet his jeans up to his ankle. “Ugh… Just great…” He muttered.
I need a place to relax. Somewhere with AC… Brad looked up. A bar. Too bad I’m not 18… Yet… Brad knew that 18 year olds had the most fun in the Muggle World, so he brought an age changing potion. He had made the ingredients to a certain density to make him exactly 3 years older; 18 years old. He swiveled his head around, looking for a deserted place… He then saw a stray cat run out of an alley and smiled. “Perfect…” He walked over the dirty sidewalk and into the alley. Brad quickly stuck his hand into his pocket, barely holding in his excitement. He withdrew a vial about the size of a large egg he uncorked it and drank about a teaspoon of it. It would last for about three hours.
Brad emerged from the alley and smiled. He felt taller and older. It was a great feeling. Now all he need was an ID… Brad dug his hand into his pocket once more and took out a plastic card. It was blank, at the moment, anyway. Brad pulled out his wand, which was cleverly disguised as a pen, and flicked it at the blank card. Suddenly, Brad’s information appeared on the card with his picture and everything. “Perfect…” He pocketed his wand and the card and made his way over to the bar, trying to look as ‘adult’ as possible.
Brad pulled open the door and was immediately greeted with cool air, the noise of a blender, and machine that said ‘Scan your ID here!” He pulled out his fake ID and placed the barcode on his ID under the light. It beeped as the door in front of him opened and he made his way into the main part of the bar. It was well lit and there was music playing in the background. It was near to empty since it wasn’t even 9 o’clock yet. Brad sighed in relief; He didn’t feel like mingling with people who would ask him a ton of questions of such. It would just be a bother. Brad ordered a drink and took it with him onto the empty lounge couch. He leaned back and looked at the “Big Game,” hoping to God that nothing bad would happen that night.

How did Jesse ended up here. He tapped some dirt of his sweater as he walked outside the building. Jesse hadn't been expecting this when he went to Hogsmeade to eventually end up in Bristol. He was going to visit his parents and he would get there by using the Floo Network the ministry had set up. He was still a third year student, so using a broom to get home wasn't allowed yet.
But something had gone terribly wrong. When he had entered the fireplace in Hogsmead and called out the adress of where he was supposed to be going, he ended up in an abandoned apartement in New York City. It had just been his luck that the ministry hired someone new.
"Last time I'll use the Floo Network again" Jesse said to himself, still trying to get most of the dirt off his clothes and out of his hair. He then looked around, his blue eyes trying to find something that could mean his way out of here, but apparently he had ended up in some deserted alley.
He walked through the alley untill he reached a door. A 'Private' sign was placed on it, but it seemed like this alley didn't end, so this was probably his best guess. He pushed the door open and went inside, closing the door behind him.
It appeared that he had ended up in some sort of bar. Jesse had heard about these bars, normally you had to be 18 to get in here, but most teens used false ID's. Maybe a drink couldn't hurt, besides everyone always said that he looked older then he actually was, so maybe he could go by as an 18 year old.
He went towards the bar, figuring after all what happened he could use a drink, so he ordered beer. The barman didn't ask for his ID, so he simply paid for it and took a sip, turning around to look at all the people around here, apparently not many.
