Jerica had walked down the black lake path one too many times in her day. But today she was heading that way for a reason; Jer was hoping to run into people she knew. Jer had left her stuff in the common room and the girl’s dorm in the Gryffindor tower. School seemed to be pretty much done for the summer so all a wizard or witch would have to carry with them would be a wand.
Jer stepped down the cobble stone stairs that lead to the lake; there it was the same spot that she always hung out. The single tall tree that sat right against the edge of the lake. Jer walked over to it. Ran her fingers over the rough bark and found the closest knot. She started to climb. As Jer reached the branch that was closest to her she swung a leg over it and gazed upon the area around her.
Dropping her signature red coat to the ground she shoved her wand in between to cracks on the tree and leaned back. It was perfect, minus that she hadn’t seen her friends anywhere. And she was really dying to see a face she knew, some students she had known since day one and yet she hadnt seen anyone around lately. Jer resorted to breaking off pieces of the tree she chucked them into the lake, you could see the ripples follow.
Jer was soon debating going for a swim, she didn’t have a suit here but she was pretty good at her magic, wand or not, so it didn’t matter. But why swing alone. Maybe someone would come along. Her feet dangled above just above the path she was walking on minutes before. Maybe Jerica would catch someone’s eye who walked by.
"to swim or not to swim....." Jerica said clearly to herself, was it crazy to talk to yourself. it would get you weird looks if osmeone to was to see but at the same time jerica didnt think anyone was around.
((sorry its not the greatest people in the cbox kept talking to me))

Boring...
As always, that was Vincent's first thought. He had just woke up from a short nap on one of the common room's arm chairs, but a few moments of nothing were enough to bore him, not to mention the others who stayed at the common room at the time as well, whose presence will soon bother him, as always. Vincent got up, his one hand covering a yawn, and made his way towards the exit, and into the hallway. As he kept walking, making his way outside, he noticed something that has troubled him for quite a while. A lot of people has passed by him as he slowly strolled the place, yet none of the faces were known to him. It's been a long time since he last seen a familiar face, and it seemed as if most of the people he actually knew were not around anymore.
Now outside, he took a look around, studying his surroundings. The usual drill was to search for a spot which had slightest number of people and head out there, or alternatively, spotting the area which was inhabited by the largest number of people and stay as further as possible from there. This time, the area around the black lake seemed quite deserted, which was rather unusual, as people normally used to sit around the trees nearby or even swimming around. Without much hesitation, he head out to one of trees, hoping to catch a nap without any disturbances.
As he sat down under in the shade of the tree, resting his head on its trunk he noticed a ripple in the lake's water. Naturally, he paid this no attention, and shut his eyes close. A few moments passed and he opened his eyes again, only to see a similar ripple in the water. Vincent turned to look around him, trying to catch the source of the interference. His gaze finally rested upon a tree not that far from the one he was sitting against. A figure could be seen sitting up on one of its branches, throwing something into the lake time and time again. That was enough for him to take a closer look.
As he got closer to that tree, he couldn't help but feeling that he knew who that person was. It was vague, but the closer he got, the clearer it got. Finally, when he was close enough, he heard a voice, that's when it struck him. Jerica...
"Some say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental disorder", he said in a sarcastic tone, his hands crossed at his chest, "Knowing you, I would say that's true". He looked up at where she was sitting and a slight grin appeared on his face. He was happy to see her.

Jerica had been swinging her legs and throwing piece of the tree into the lake for a while now, which each piece a ripple would disturb the perfect water. There was no waves today, no crashing water against the rocks against, and no tide riding up the sandy beach further down the line. It was weirdly still. There was life in the lake but today you wouldn’t have guessed, you would have known there was a whole clan of merpeople, and a giant squid. Jerica had seen both in her day.
She had seen a few small figures or students run past in the distance and so forth but no one down this path, you know the school is empty when the main path by the black lake didn’t have a soul on it. In that case Jerica was wrong, a few trees over there was someone resting, but Jer had not noticed. No one was studying in the sun, or playing 20 questions with strangers, or even swimming. Everyone swam, all the time. if only someone was here to talk to Jer thought .
The wind had picked up for a moment and when you’re in a tree it’s not so good. Jerica pried her wand out of the tree and waved it, her coat had floated to her hand. Pulling it over her right arm was the moment when she saw a figure rise from the tree next over and come in her general direction. There was someone there all along? And Jerica had missed it. They must have really not wanted to be found.
They caught her talking to herself and she debated making herself vanish, but like jay had done the day before the voice rang like a clock hitting twelve through her ears. Someone else I know..... her thoughts ended when he spoke.
Vincent Mallece, a friend from years back, a very sarcastic, mocking friend at that “Oh yes I have heard that before, but I’m also told the smartest of people talk to them self’s!” she grinned from ear to ear, it was officially forever since she had last seen him “Oh so you think you know me” Jerica was at this point jumping down from the tree. She looked at him and shook her head “you haven’t changed one bit have you, but you always did say don’t fix what’s not broken.”
