Gwen turned to look at the other student who just entered the cupboard. Some more dust flew around but she managed to look at Leeda and say "Gwen, Gwen Jones...nice to meet you." before she sneezed. Gwen looked back at the girl who just arrived, "We were uh, just about to go in there," she said motioning to the stairs by jabbing a finger behind her. "Just some brief exploration if you might be interested." She said, trying to make out the features the girl who arrived. Remembering her manners, she quickly blurted out, "I'm Gwen by the way, and this is Leeda...and uh, you are?"

Leeda smiled in appreciation for Gwen's stepping in to say her name. She wondered why she hadn't just asked it earlier. She watched the new girl with a bit of impatience because she was more than ready to begin the exploring; adventures were something she enjoyed a great deal. Still, she didn't send her an annoyed glare because she knew it wasn't her fault.
She traced a circle of dust with her shoe, waiting to hear the girl's name. Before she said it, Leeda addd, "Yeah, it was the oddest thing. The wall just sort of blew up," she said with a ring of laughter. "We've decided to go explore it. Would you care to join us?" she smiled brightly, thinking three would make it even more fun.
{ooc: Gwen, if she doesn't reply, we can just go ahead and begin the adventure, and she can join whenever she comes back to MH.}

Gwen looked from Leeda, and back to the new girl. She anticipated a fast response of yes, concerning that so far, not many exciting things had been going on at the school...the wait for the other student started growing on Gwen's short patience. She shrugged her shoulders and beckoned at Leeda to follow her on her way up the stairs. She squinted a little through the darkness; there were many cobwebs and other items of a unidentifiable nature. A smile spread across her face, she loved exploring these sorts of eerie places. She looked back to make sure that Leeda was making it up okay.
{ooc: Alright, no problem}

As Gwen began her way down the stairs, she motioned for Leeda to follow her. She didn't have to ask twice; Leeda was already on her way. She began the decent behind Gwen, noticing that as they got down farther, there was less debris clogging the air. The cobwebs, however, kept accumulating. "Ugh...I hate cobwebs," she said brushing one of her arm as it sent chills down her spine.
Suddenly, torches along the walls lit up, as if they sensed the girls' presence. Leeda stopped her walking a moment to look around her. It was still dim, but she could now see that the end of the stairs was near, and below was an odd looking room. It was circular with five doors, each equally spaced apart. "Interesting," she said resuming the decent until her feet hit the bottom. "I don't think I've ever heard of such a room at Hogwarts, have you Gwen?" she asked. The summer prior to her first year, Leeda had read Hogwarts, a History, and it did mention some mysterious rooms, but none like this one.

Gwen jumped a little when the torches lit themselves. She had no idea where the stairs would lead her, and she was a tad nervous. "Me too," she replied to Leeda, she hated the cobwebs, and they were everywhere she turned. The stairs, made of stone, were somewhat steep; and there was a small crack in the wall across from the torches letting in a small beam of light and a chilly draft from outside. Gwen shivered and continued up the stairs. After hearing Leeda, she replied with "No, not at all. I mean, I knew that there were still some undiscovered rooms and such, but nothing that had stairs like this." she knew she was close to the top. Gwen reached a dark opening, which took as the top of the stairs, she scooted up against the wall and said, "your lead," trying not to sound like a total coward.

{The stairs go down. } Your lead Gwen said. Leeda smiled, feeling excited and nervous at the same time. "Alright then...It appears that there are five doors here...unless there's a hidden one." She walked boldly toward the middle of the room, feeling suddenly exposed as she looked around her. Her eyes followed the wall and rested momentarily on each door. She was trying to pick one to enter. They all looked the same- dark wood with a brass handle, nothing out of the ordinary. "Well, I guess since we've come all this way, we can't back down now, can we?" She laughed to ease the tense feeling of the new experience. "Wands at the ready," she said taking out her wand with a sparkling gem on the handle. She stepped toward the door in the middle and placed her hand upon it. It felt cool to the touch and opened surprisingly easily, not at all rusty like she'd thought it would. Immediately,a blast of cold air hit her in the face, and an unseen force pulled both girls inside, the door shutting gently behind them, but with a sense of finality.

{Eh heh.....I knew that....}
Gwen followed her into the room, it was dark and damp. The all of the doors were identical, but it drove Gwen mad when it came to deciding which one to choose. She nodded towards the far door across the room. Leeda was way ahead of her. Gwen glided towards the door behind her.
Well, I guess since we've come all this way, we can't back down now, can we? Gwen gave a small laugh after Leeda said this. "True....true." she replied. As they approached the door, Gwen couldn't help but feel as if they were being watched, but the room was empty except for the two girls...or so she thought.
Gwen whipped out her wand, ready for anything. Leeda gracefully opened the door, it slowly opened without and bump or creak. Gwen squinted into the black abyss it led to. But nothing seemed to happen. Gwen shrugged and took another step towards the door, but a huge gust of cold air engulfed them both and they were sent flying into the unknown.
She only managed to cry and small scream before she was sucked through the door. Gwen could barely breathe, she saw nothing but black all around her, and by now she couldn't tell what was up or down; she was just, there. She did manage to grab hold of Leeda's robes. But the two were soaring into nothing. Gwen just shut her eyes and let the extreme force of the wind take her where it may.
