General Appearance: Edie's outward appearance changes sometimes. You see, Edie is a blossoming metamophamageous. She reacently found out that if she tries really hard, she can change her appearance. However, her ability goes only so far as changing eye color and hair color. She can't change the shape of her face or her height. This ability might come later, but for now Edie is stuck being a short, skinny girl. She has big eyes and a small face with a round nose and plump lips. She is very skinny, having no curve what so ever. Edie has short legs, a short torso and short fingers. Everything is petite, just like her.
Dressing Style: From traveling to so many places and being exposed to so many cultures, Edie's wardrobe has some very interesting pieces. Thats not to say that she is going to walk around in a turban or anything. She mixes normal with exotic to create a very different style, one that she wears with pride and color. Edie loves bright colors!
Another thing is that no matter how much her parents enjoy wearing their wizard robes, Edie will always be more comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt. Granted, the McKensie's have lived in muggle places before, and have had to disguise themselves, but Edie continues to wear her muggle apparel.
Personality: Edie may look like a calm, sweet girl. Truthfully, she is full of energy and life.Edie loves to talk and play. She enjoys meeting new people, her bubbly personality helping her get along with most everyone.
Edie has an active imagination. She tends to daydream when she gets bored. Whenever she hatches a plan, an interesting little smirk spreads across her face. Usually her ideas are outrageous and unthinkable. Still, Edie entertains herself with thinking up new ways to get into trouble, only if they get stored in her brain and never get played out. Even so, Edie wants adventure and she wants mischief, she just needs some help getting into it.
Edie is very outspoken, very honest. She won’t hide anything from anyone. If she doesn’t like something, she’ll tell you. She comments on everything. Usually using her sarcasm, which she wields as a weapon. Edie has learned that she needs to learn to keep her mouth shut some times, a work in progress. Edie never goes looking for a fight, but isn’t afraid to defend herself. She’s quite the little scrapper. Edie is a competitive person. If she is put in a competition, she will try her hardest to honestly win. She is never a sore loser. She tries to give everyone a fair chance.
Edie is very patient with herself and what she has to get done. It is other people whom she cannot deal with. Although Edie tries to get along with everyone, it is inevitable that some people just bother her. It’s usually people who are very slow, and can’t keep up with Edie’s energy.
General Character Traits:
Likes: Edie is very athletic and loves to go run around exploring. She likes playing around with her friends and going on mock adventures into distant lands. She likes the feeling that any moment that floor could fall out from under her feet, and she could be swept away to rescue a princess. Her childish fantasies are becoming scarier, darker. As Edie grows older, so must her interest.
When Edie can’t go outside, she must find an outlet for her adventurous mind. Since Edie learned to read, she picked books about action and adventure. She loved to read about the quest for gold and glory. In her mind she would pretend she was the main character going about fight dragons and trolls.
Dislikes:Edie hates, hates, hates animals. Truthfully, they don't really like her either. Whenever Edie and an animal or beast get together, the outcome is never favorable to Edie. She can't exactly remember why she had this loathing, (not really a fear) of animals, but ever since she was small she has.
Edie hates being left alone. She loves being around people and can't stand the thought of being left alone. Edie dislikes crying. She realizes that sometimes, she just needs a good cry to feel better about something, but she can’t stand if someone sees her shed a tear. It is almost classified as a fear.
When it comes to people, Edie cannot stand people who brag about themselves and/or think they are perfect. She comes to the conclusion that these people are just trying to hide something. Edie also dislikes people who cheat, lie, or put other down. It’s not necessary, and she has no problem standing up for someone who is getting this abuse. Also, she cannot stand it when people continuously say, “I’m sorry” for everything, even though they haven’t done anything wrong.

Personal History:
Spouse: none
Children: none
Parents: Peter (half-blood) and Colleen (Half-blood) McKensie
Siblings: Twin sisters: Keegan Rose (9) and Teagan Kearney (9) McKensie
Background Story: Edie comes from a well rounded family of half-blood parentage, both her parents being half-bloods themselves. Her mother and father both attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, her mother, Colleen, being a Gryffindor and her father, Peter, being put in Slytherin. (On a side note, her father never quite agreed with the hat's snakey decision. Put in the green and silver house for his quick tongue and sly, quick thinking, he had no other Slytherin traits and often got into fights with his own housemates.) Nevertheless, the pair were good friends till their graduation. Both stemming from the country of Ireland, they both went back home and found each other again and soon also found love.
And so the family attempted to settle down. Attempted I say, for her father was a salesman, blessed with quick-wits and good speech, for a rather large cauldron company. They tugged the poor man around, placing him here and there, and then here again. Colleen an apothecary of her own sorts was able to move around and keep up her work. By the time Edith Aeryn McKensie was born they had lived in seven countries.
Edith herself was born in Tasmania. Her mother and father both picked a name that they adored. Her mother picked Edith and her father picked Aeryn.
Edith, now insisting on being called Edie, grew up in an eclectic way. Every few months the McKensies would be on the move again. A few years late, the twins came, only adding to the craziness in the McKensie house. By the time Edie was ten she had lived on every continent at least twice. However, the young girl never grew tired of moving. Her father, crazy in his own ways, and her mother, adventurous and exciting, yet nurturing and loving, created a lovely balance for a young girl to grow up with. Edie retained many traits of her father and her mother becoming a melting pot personality.
At the age of eleven, Edith knew that she would be starting school. Her parents never let it show, but they were worried to which school she would be accepted. Moving around as much as they did, there could be no guarantee of what school Edie would get her letter from. The letter came, Hogwarts on the seal. Her parents breathed a sigh of relief. Edie held the letter, beaming, her father clapped her on the back saying, "Darn good school."
And off Edie went. She left her parents from the wonderful country of Laos. From there, every years she would leave from and come home to different countries. Her parents often sent her postcards and little trinkets from the countries they were currently living. Edie missed her parents and her sisters, but for once it was nice to have a stable place to come back to everyday and not have to pack every three or four weeks. Hogwarts was just the stability the girl needed to get through her awkward teenage years which, although she is now fifteen, have only just begun.
Though her first and second year, it took Edie a lot of time to adjust to living in a permanent place. Every vacation, she was thrown back into the constant move and became confused again. Before, Edie had very few friends, its hard keeping up with kids from seven continents and hundreds on countries. Edie hadn't found her notch yet.
Third year went on better than the first two. Edie got the hang out of sleeping in the same bed every night and even the though the school work got harder, it became easier for Edie who now had two years of schedule under her belt. Edie start blossoming. She made friends and became very talkative. The outgoing girl that once traveled the world was able to stay stationary at Hogwarts.
Minor Details:
Strong Area of Magic: Anything with wandwork; Charms, DADA
Weak Area of Magic: Care of Magical Creatures
Pets: none
Wand: At 9 & 1/4 inches with a cherry tree wood base and a bowtruckle finger nail as a core, Edie's wand is the perfect wand for her. It is flexible and reliable, but it gives an extra spring every once and a while. Living in the country of Laos as she left her parents for her first year, she obtained her wand from a lesser known maker in Laos. However, her wand has always been quite faithful, never letting her down, and getting quite upset and testy if it doesn't work correctly.

RP response(Show us what you've got!):
Truthfully, the rain had put Edie in a horrible mood. It wasn't just the dark, dull grey clouds, or the hard rain, making smelly mud, and damp clothes. It was just the atmosphere of rain. It seemed as though everyone in the castle became negatively effected by the rain. They either turned nasty, dull, or extremely hyper to a point where you could kill them and not think twice about it. Edie was bored. Very, very bored.
The petite girl sat in the common room, starring out the window. She could see the water droplets on the lake. The squid had disappeared from its sunning rock, down to the depths, escaping the dreary rain. The window was cracked only enough to let in some air. The air even smelled damp. It made Edie's nose wrinkle. She hated that smell. It was such a dull smell.
Edie had spent the last hour changing the color of her hair, entertaining her friends, but even she got bored of that, and they had left. Edie had opted to stay in the common room. Not like there was anything to do outside of the common room anyway.
Edie could hear the water droplets hitting the leaves of the trees in the very near distance. The Forbidden forest loomed out ahead of her, just begging to be explored. However bold Edie was, she wasn't about to get pneumonia sneaking out into the forest. Maybe tomorrow, when its sunny.
