This guide covers the greatest crimes that you can commit when creating a character, developing them and RPing with them. Minor pet peeves were graciously omitted. Chapter 1
Before You Create A Character 1. Think. 2. If you already have an active student character or even more, ask yourself if you can handle another character. 3. Don't have more than two student alters. Seriously. 4. Don't even have more than one unless you're determined to pay the same attention to the second one as you do with the first one - and get burn-out syndrome in the process. 5. If you only want an alter in a certain house (Slytherin, anyone?) to be 'cool', don't do it. 6. Don't make an alter that is going to be your twin. 7. Don't make an alter that is going to be your boyfriend. 8. Don't ditch the character you already created only because you just met someone who wants you to be their twin, cousin, etc. 9. Don't make an additional alter because someone begs you to get one to be related to them. 10. Don't make an additional student alter because you need them as 'supporting actors' for your primary alter's so-called plot.
