Chapter 4
Love Life
Love Life
1. Don't have troublesome love lives before you even get sorted.
2. Don't be gay/lesbian already before you've hit puberty.
3. Don't shout it all over the place if you decide that your character development will go in that direction. In RL, people tend to have real difficulties with coming to terms with their sexual orientation. Heck, even heterosexual teens have troubles with growing up!
4. By all means, DON'T desperately seek a boyfriend for your character. Or girlfriend, for that matter. EVER.
5. Never write in an RP: "Hi, I'm (insert name). What's your name? You're hot. Wanna date?"
6. Never flop on another character's lap and start to grope them. (This will get you banned.)
7. Never start to undress another character while passionately snogging. (Anything like this or even further will get you banned.)
8. Don't plan a wedding before you've passed your NEWTs.
9. Never kiss a fellow student who is more than 2 years younger than you. It makes everyone think of paedophilia when a third-year snogs an Unsorted ickle.
10. When you're 11, kissing is ewww.
11. When you're 12, kissing is probably still ewww.
12. When you're 13, kissing might start to be an interesting concept.
13. When you're 14, you might want to try it.
14. When you're 15, it's rather okay.
15. No matter at which age your character kisses someone, do avoid all sorts of smut terms and stuff like 'tingling cleavage,' 'lick,' and 'tongue'. You know… Everything that makes it look like a cheap fling from an even cheaper romance novel. Unless you want to gross out the reader. Then it's okay. Not.
16. A fixation on boyfriends and constant lip-locking with them is sickening to read on a site that is all about magic and is based on a series of books that is so complex and so rich in detail. If boyfriends and kissing (I'm beautiful! Really! This thread is open especially to guys! *wink wink*) is all that you can think of, perhaps you'd be better off if you found an RPing site that caters to your needs instead of one that is a really magical place to be.
