Chapter 5

OOC Things, Code of Conduct & General Advice

1. Don't make your signature longer than your average RP.
2. Wallpapers in siggies are a no no.
3. So are the complete lyrics of your favourite song. Or your favourite chapter of your favourite book for that matter. Or your character's entire background history.
4. Don't direct-link pictures. Upload them to photobucket or imageshack. THEN use them in posts, siggies, avvies etc.
5. Don't advertise for family members unless your salvation depends on it. People will only make alters that are going to die soon because they don't have the time to take care of more than one character. You don't want someone who'll disappear two weeks into term.
6. Don't mix up IC and OOC.
7. Don't bring OOC issues IC.
8. Don't take RPs (purely IC issues!!!) personally on an OOC level.
9. Don't request inactivity if you didn't get the house that you had your eye on. Spoil-sport.
10. Don't jump into threads of Unsorted members and correct their mistakes and then have the guts to tell them that you don't speak to Unsorted people. You were once an Unsorted ickle as well. Explain it all nicely in a PM… or link them to the rules or preferably this journal (but only if they really suck!)
11. Don't be a copycat.
12. No dramatic pity posts.
13. No dramatic 'I'm leaving' posts if you don't really mean it and only want to be told by at least 10 people that they love you. Note: Nemesis took care of that recently. Thank the goddess.
14. NEVER RP your character's death. Your character will not come back.
15. NEVER RP your character killing someone. You will be banned, the gods will wave their hands, and your victim will live again with no recollection of having been murdered. Can you say 'utter waste'?
