She watched the boy as he idly drew in the sande. Glancing up at him she was surprised to see the look of concentration on his face, it was like he was trying to distract himself from something. Which she though was rather odd, what could be so distraction that one had to draw designs in the sand?
"Umm...just thinking, you?"
He seemed honest enough when he said that, she could tell, he did not hesitate when answering, though he sounded less then sincere when he asked about her. She shruged, "Frankly other then wacking my head on trees, and making enough noise to get caught, I was thinking on paper," She showed him the notebook she carried around with her.

"Frankly other then wacking my head on trees, and making enough noise to get caught, I was thinking on paper,"
Shadow was smiling in amusment at her answer and sighed, he was giving up, this school just etased and teased him none stop, begged for him to attack and kill all students who get paper cuts or fall over or hit there heads on branches! it was cruel and Shadow would soon fall off the edge and give into tempation screaming with joy and slawtering for the fun of it.
He seemed accutly calmer at that thought and layed back on the sand his arms folded back behind his head.Eyes on the note book,"a dairy?" he asked smuggly.

“A dairy?” He seemed smug when he said it, lying back in the sand.
Shifting slightly, Brandi rolled her eyes and laughed, “Are you kidding me? Diaries are death notes, especially if some vengeful girls gets hold of it. Nah, I write poetry and draw,” She flipped to the middle of the book, opening it and showing a charcoal drawing of the black lake at night. The vantage was from what looked like a cliff and she had captured the moonlight on paper. In ink, a small quote was written towards the bottom, ‘Forget what the Day looks like, you belong to the Night,’
“This is why I am always out at night, everything is more real in the dark,” She said softly, looking at the drawing.

Shadow smiled thinking about what she said in silent agreement, yes dairies where deathnotes, it was smart of the girl to reconize that earily, he lazily cranked his head to star at her odd drawing. "Nice." he mutterwed not interested in it at all, the text below had more of a effect on him and interest as he re-read the line a few times and waited for her explaination of it.
“This is why I am always out at night, everything is more real in the dark,” Shadow chuckled,"Ah your not as dense as you appear." he chuckled.

Ah your not as dense as you appear,
“Oh that is comforting,” Brandi flipped the notebook closed, “Charming, one might say,” She added sarcastically.
She looked out to the lake wistfully, "I never understood why people are afraid of the dark, it's not realy that fightening, and in the end that's all we're left with. Darkness," She turned to him, "That's what the words really mean," She had noticed him read the words more then once, "We came from darkness, and we shall return to it, so what's the point of remembering what the light looks like? You truly belong to the dark, no matter who you are, how long you live, or what you are,"
"You know why I think people fear the dark? It's because she hides her subjects so carefully, she shows people what they don't want to see, they don't want to see bad things," Her smile turned into a sarcastic looking one, "They want to see rainbows and joy, not shadows and fear,"

“Oh that is comforting
, “Charming, one might say,” He smiled at her sarcsium but shrugged, ”only pointing the obvious.” He muttered, ”No charm intended.”
The girl looked towards the lake even in the darkness, he had this odd idea her eyes were well adjusted to the dark even if she were only human. I never understood why people are afraid of the dark Shadow smiled, ”I could only guess also.” He wanted to laugh, he knew why people where afraid he could tell, smell feel there fear of being alone in such dark places in the world. But he kept silent not wanting to give himself away to this girl he knew little about.

“I would not say we all belong to darkness, there are many saints on this world…” Brandi watched him interested, “Saints? Even they have their moments,” Her voice faded off into the night air as his next words rose to it. ”and there are people…like you have said, all belong to the darkness, just as do many creatures, damned evil ones that only have the darkness to cling to if they go back into the light, that would end there life…humans shouldn’t try involve or match themselves to those creatures.” He was smiling now, and he had pulled his knees up to his face as he hugged himself.
“No,” She said softly, “Even if someone is damned, they can still hold the light. It may not be literally, or allowing them to step into the light, but they can still hold it in their heart,” Brandi paused for a moment, “If they try hard enough,”
Brandi traced her fingers lazily through the sand and continued.
“It’s true humans shouldn’t try to involve themselves with creatures of the night, but they will never stop trying to match them. Most people are arrogant, thinking that they are far better then someone who has been around longer then a lifetime, or has powers only those who have been changed in someway by the darkness could ever have.”
