Koyal was in a very good mood, and there was just one thing that was troubling her. Homework. Sitting inside the Common room, with piles of books around was not an ideal way to spend a good day like that one. She watched outside the window for a while before she grabbed a single book and some parchment. She pocketed the quill and ink bottle and walked out of the common room towards the lake. She decided it would be much less irritating to finish homework outside.
However, as she sat beside the lake, she found herself staring at it. Or otherwise listening to the birds singing. She really wanted to get rid of homework, but had no mood to do it. She had finally managed to turn her eyes back to the book when she was distracted by footsteps.

"158 footsteps through lonliness 159 footsteps through lonliness 160 footsteps through lonliness" why am i even doing this Halo thought to himself as he stepped by the lake watching his reflection in the water and listening to gentle songs of the birds blowing through the breeze "why am i even still here?" this question he asked harshly to himself and he kicked the water watching the ripples as he removed his foot.

Koyal turned round watched Halo coming towards the lake and kicking the water. Some drops of water splashed over the parchment she had carelessly kept on the ground. "Hey, what did you do that for?" she asked arrogantly, standing up. She was not sure how she felt: glad for an excuse to leave homework for a while, or annoyed as the water drops had ruined already few little lines on her parchment. "Are you annoyed with the Giant Squid or merpeople, kicking water like this?" she asked. It was her annoying habit to blabber too much.

halo looked at the Ravenclaw then looked away. He could predict her type. She was probably looking for an excuse to do something and the blame the closest human being for it. He shrugged ignoring her looking at the ripply water with ease. He let out a small breath that made the water ripple slightly. i wish all i had to worry about was an excuse to do something he thought to himself thinking of how simple this girls life was compared to his.. or so he assumed.

Koyal hated being ignored or not getting a proper answer for her questions. She pushed aside some hair from her eyes as she angrily glared at him, her eyes bright with anger and her pale skin flushed with anger. For a second she was really tempted to throw him in the lake. She had a short temper, but she was not sure exactly why she was this angry. She sighed and spoke in a sarcastically calm tone. "Excuse me, I just spoke to you in case you haven't noticed," she said. She folded her arms and looked him with her usual proud expression on her face.

"Excuse me, I just spoke to you in case you haven't noticed, "oh sorry i mustn't of heard you over the raven screaching in my ear" He replied sarcastically as he kept walking down the lake's edge. He wanted to make a flame in his hands but didn't want to give away his powers to this girl.

Koyal was very annoyed by now. "Fine then your ears need treatement!" she snapped. First homework, then being ignored and then getting such a reply was enough to turn her mood off.
